Application-configured heated vessels for compatible processes that must intentionally reach boiling conditions, generate vapor or remove a volatile component through controlled atmospheric evaporation or distillation.
This category is for evaporation, concentration, vapor generation or distillation. A faster wax melter does not automatically require a rapid-boil design.
Heat a compatible liquid to generate vapor for routing through an appropriately designed vapor path, condenser and receiver.
Remove water or another approved volatile component from a compatible process stream under controlled conditions.
Increase solids or active-component concentration by removing an approved volatile fraction from the batch.
Evaluate hydrosol, steam-assisted botanical or aqueous extraction workflows that use compatible materials and complete vapor handling.
A vessel that boils liquid is not automatically a complete or safe distillation system.
| Process | Primary goal | Typical temperature behavior | Choose when |
|---|---|---|---|
| PRIMO Thermal Conditioning | Gentle holding and viscosity stability | Remain below damaging or phase-change limits | Material is sensitive and must stay production-ready |
| PRIMO Wax Melter | Melt solid feedstock efficiently | Reach and hold a controlled liquid temperature | The job is phase change, not vapor generation |
| PRIMO Rapid-Cycle | Reduce batch and recovery time | High heat-transfer rate without intentional boiling | Throughput is limited by melt or heat recovery |
| Rapid-Boil | Generate vapor or remove a volatile component | Reach and sustain an approved boiling condition | Evaporation, concentration or distillation is the actual process |
Every component, concentration, flash point, boiling range, corrosivity and hazard classification.
Starting gallons, desired final concentration, expected residue and allowable working headspace.
Pounds or gallons per hour to remove, target cycle time and required production schedule.
Atmospheric, pressure or vacuum; starting temperature; boiling point; elevation and ambient conditions.
Condenser type, cooling-water temperature and flow, vapor-line routing, receiver and venting.
Boil-over tendency, agitation, antifoam use, solids and need for demisting or disengagement space.
Compatibility of vessel, heater, seals, valves, gaskets, condenser and receiver with liquid and vapor.
Voltage, phase, connected load, ventilation, area classification, utilities and local code requirements.
The current page should no longer imply that one stock tank is suitable for every distillation or extraction process. Suitability depends on the complete chemistry, vapor generation rate, condenser capacity, pressure relief/vent path, controls, material compatibility and facility classification.
Not by itself. A complete system may require a vapor outlet, condenser, cooling utility, receiver, venting, controls, instrumentation and process-specific safety provisions.
Not as a standard assumption. Flammable-solvent service requires chemical, electrical-area and code review and may require specialized equipment beyond the standard category.
No. Rapid-Cycle is for fast melting or thermal recovery. Rapid Boil intentionally reaches a boiling condition for evaporation, concentration or vapor generation.
Only if it is specifically engineered, fabricated, rated and documented for that condition. A standard atmospheric vessel must not be pressurized or pulled under vacuum.
From the batch mass, composition, sensible-heat requirement, latent heat, desired evaporation rate, heat losses, available power and process-control limits.
Send the full composition, starting and final volume, target evaporation rate, boiling range, operating pressure, condenser information, facility classification and available electrical service.
Sizing by batch, heating options, footprint and the questions to ask before you buy. A 6-page PDF for production and purchasing teams.
