Privacy Policy

We collect information from you when you register on the site, place an order, enter a contest or sweepstakes, respond to a survey or communication such as e-mail, or participate in another site feature. When ordering or registering, we may ask you for your name, e-mail address, mailing address, phone number, credit card information or other information. You may, however, visit our site anonymously. Like many websites, we use "cookies" to enhance your experience and gather information about visitors and visits to our websites. Please refer to the "Do we use 'cookies'?" section below for information about cookies and how we use them.

We may use the information we collect from you when you register, purchase products, enter a contest or promotion, respond to a survey or marketing communication, surf the website, or use certain other site features in the following ways: To personalize your site experience and to allow us to deliver the type of content and product offerings in which you are most interested. To allow us to better service you in responding to your customer service requests. To quickly process your transactions. To administer a contest, promotion, survey or other site feature.

Unless you Opt-Out, you will receive our e-mail newsletter, where we send you periodic e-mails on industry news, promotions, and trends. If you would no longer like to receive promotional e-mail from us, please refer to the "How can you opt-out, remove or modify information you have provided to us?" section below. If you have not opted-in to receive e-mail newsletters, you will not receive these e-mails. Visitors who register or participate in other site features such as marketing programs and 'members-only' content will be given a choice whether they would like to be on our e-mail list and receive e-mail communications from us.

We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information. Your personal information is contained behind secured networks and is only accessible by a limited number of persons who have special access rights to such systems, and are required to keep the information confidential. When you place orders or access your personal information, we offer the use of a secure server. All sensitive/credit information you supply is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted into our databases to be only accessed as stated above.

We may contract with third-party service providers to assist us in better understanding our site visitors. These service providers are not permitted to use the information collected on our behalf except to help us conduct and improve our business.

You can choose to have your computer warn you each time a cookie is being sent, or you can choose to turn off all cookies. Each browser is a little different, so look at your browser Help menu to learn the correct way to modify your cookies. It does not include website hosting partners and other parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. However, non-personally identifiable visitor information may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses. To modify your e-mail subscriptions, please let us know by modifying your preferences in the "My Account" section. Please note that due to email production schedules you may receive any emails already in production.

To delete all of your online account information from our database, sign into the "My Account" section of our site and remove your shipping addresses, billing addresses & payment information. Please note that we may maintain information about an individual sales transaction in order to service that transaction and for record keeping.

In an attempt to provide you with increased value, we may include third party links on our site. These linked sites have separate and independent privacy policies. We therefore have no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these linked sites. Nonetheless, we seek to protect the integrity of our site and welcome any feedback about these linked sites (including if a specific link does not work).

If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes on this page. Policy changes will apply only to information collected after the date of the change.

This online privacy policy applies only to information collected through our website and not to information collected offline. By using our site, you consent to our privacy policy.

22) NO SPAM; LIQUIDATED DAMAGES:

You agree that by contacting M&FE and/or providing your email address, M&FE may email you and send email solicitations. If for whatever reason you do not want to receive emails, then please advise M&FE in writing. If after notifying M&FE that you do not want to receive emails, M&FE sends you an email, you agree to waive any and all federal, state and local rights you may have and agree to liquidated damages of $1.00 (ONE DOLLAR) per spam email.

Site Activity, Chat and Follow-Up Emails (Updated October 2026)

Pages you view. When you browse our site, we record the pages you view, the time of each view, the page that referred you, and a random session identifier. If you are signed in to your account, or you arrived by clicking a link in an email we sent you, we connect this activity to your customer account so our team can help you with the equipment you are looking at.

Approximate location. We use your IP address to estimate your city, region and country. We store only that approximate location and a shortened IP address (the last part removed); we do not store your full IP address for this purpose. Location data is provided by DB-IP (IP Geolocation by DB-IP) from a database kept on our own server. We do not use outside services to identify your company from your IP address.

Kate and live staff chat. Our on-site assistant, Kate, can see which page you are viewing (its address, title and, on product pages, the product details) so she can answer questions about that product. A member of our team may also join your Kate chat to offer help. Messages you exchange with Kate or our team are saved as chat transcripts so we can follow up on your question. Please do not type card numbers in the chat.

Follow-up emails. If you have an account with us and view or add products to your cart without ordering, we may send you a short follow-up email about those products. These emails are limited in frequency, come from sales@waxmelters.com, include our postal address, and include an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing stops these follow-up and cart reminder emails; order, shipping and invoice emails are not affected. Reminders for carts are not sent to visitors in the EU, UK or EEA without consent.

Cookies and similar technologies. In addition to the cookies needed for the cart, checkout and your account, we use:

• wm_lv_k (cookie, 90 days): set only when you click a link in one of our emails; it lets us recognize you as a returning customer.
• wm_consent (cookie, 12 months): remembers whether you accepted or declined site activity tracking (EU, UK and EEA visitors).
• wm_lv_sid, wm_lv_since, wm_lv_g (session storage, cleared when you close the tab): a random session identifier, the last staff message shown, and whether Kate’s greeting was already shown.
• wm_lv_gx (local storage, 180 days): remembers that you dismissed Kate’s greeting so it is not shown again.
• wmk_h (session storage): your current Kate conversation, so it stays open as you move between pages.

Visitors in the EU, UK and EEA. If you visit from these regions, page-view tracking, the wm_lv_k cookie and Kate’s greeting are used only after you choose Accept in the notice shown on your first visit. If you choose Decline, none of them are used, and you can still use Kate and the store. To change your choice, clear the wm_consent cookie in your browser and reload the page.

How long we keep it. Page-view history, approximate location and session records are deleted after 90 days. Chat transcripts are kept for 90 days unless they become part of a quote, order or support request. Order records are kept as required for accounting and warranty.

WaxMelters (Melting and Filling Equipment Inc.) offers text messaging from (888) WAX-MELTERS | (888) 929-6358 and our Kate text line for customer care (answers to your questions, quotes, support links) and account notifications (order status, verification codes, shipping updates). You opt in by texting us first or by checking the optional SMS consent box on our forms. Consent is not a condition of purchase.
