Why Size Up Instead of Sizing Small
Size to the largest batch you pour, then size up for growth: a PRIMO can start a batch at about one-third of its rated capacity, so a bigger tank still holds small batches well. If you plan to double output within a year, size up now, because a melter you outgrow in six months costs twice. Many businesses buy one size up and grow into it.
Planning production is not the same as sizing a tank. A vessel may physically hold the batch and still be too small for the production system if recovery time, heated reserve, repeated loading or downstream demand make equipment or employees wait. That matters most for industrial and production use, where the tank sets the pace of the line.
