Choose for faster melting and batch recovery

Best when the main requirement is converting solid wax, blocks, flakes or bulk material into a usable liquid batch efficiently.

Important: Beeswax that must be melted from solid blocks normally belongs in a PRIMO Wax Melter. Honey, chocolate, creams, oils, gels and other delicate or viscosity-sensitive materials are stronger thermal-conditioning applications.

The Gentle Heating Buyers Want—Without Maintaining a Water Reservoir

Traditional water-jacketed tanks first heat water, which then transfers heat through the vessel wall into the material. PRIMO Thermal Conditioning Systems are designed to create controlled, insulated thermal conditioning without a separate water jacket.

This removes water filling, evaporation, humidity, water-level monitoring and the dry-fire risk associated with immersion heaters. The operator still follows proper material-loading and minimum-operating-level instructions, but can focus on the process material instead of maintaining a second fluid system.

Waterless does not mean empty operation. PRIMO equipment must be operated with the required amount of compatible process material and according to the model instructions. A water jacket must protect its heater with water; a PRIMO system must protect the vessel by following its material-level and operating requirements.

PRIMO Thermal Conditioning FAQ

Is a PRIMO Thermal Conditioning System a water-jacketed tank?

No. It is a waterless, insulated thermal-conditioning system designed to provide the gentle and stable process conditions buyers often seek from a jacketed tank, without maintaining a separate water reservoir.

Does a waterless system require no operating precautions?

No. A water jacket requires adequate water to protect its immersion heater. A PRIMO system requires the proper amount of compatible process material and must not be operated empty or outside its instructions. Both systems require correct use; PRIMO removes the separate water-management task.

Should I choose a PRIMO TC or a PRIMO Wax Melter?

Choose a PRIMO Wax Melter when rapid melting of solid wax or bulk material is the primary goal. Choose PRIMO Thermal Conditioning when gentle heating, long holding, viscosity stability or protection of a sensitive formulation is more important than maximum melt speed.

Can PRIMO Thermal Conditioning Systems process chocolate?

They can support controlled chocolate or cocoa-butter warming and heated holding when properly configured. Chocolate tempering may additionally require controlled cooling, agitation and a defined tempering sequence; do not describe a standard holding tank as an automatic tempering machine unless that capability is specifically included.

Why are the systems sized in gallons instead of pounds?

Gallons describe vessel volume. Pounds depend on the density of the specific material, which can vary substantially between honey, oils, soap, chocolate, creams, resins and other products. Final selection should be based on usable working volume and process requirements.

Can the tank be supplied with mixing, pumping or filling equipment?

Depending on the application, systems can be reviewed for agitation, pumps, heated hoses, valves, transfer, recirculation, filtration, filling equipment, controls and custom fittings. The material and production workflow should be reviewed before configuration.
