How to Choose a Heated Tank for Lure and Molding Compounds

1. Start with the compound's data sheet. Process temperature and handling requirements decide the configuration; WaxMelters confirms compatibility before you order.
2. Match the temperature. Standard PRIMO and Thermal Conditioning tanks run up to 212°F / 100°C; an X-Treme high-temperature configuration runs up to 400°F / 204°C, for example +$250 on the PRIMO 25 and +$1,250 on the PRIMO 1000. Heated fillers run up to 212°F / 100°C as standard, with an optional X-Treme range of up to 300°F / 149°C.
3. Keep it mixed. Add an agitator: EZ-MIX 150 ($1,750, PRIMO 50 to 100), EZ-MIX 350 ($1,950, PRIMO 250 and 350) or EZ-MIX 500 ($2,195, PRIMO 500).
4. One tank per color. Several smaller tanks keep colors ready without cleaning between runs.
5. Heat the path to the mold. Heated transfer, hoses and valves keep the compound at temperature from the tank to the point of use.
