Melting & Batch Heating

Help me chooseCompare modelsFind my machineBuild your system

Industrial systems for converting compatible solids, waxes, resins, oils, adhesives, compounds and other materials into a controlled liquid or flowable production state.

What the Equipment Must Do

Select the tank and downstream equipment around the material, operating temperature, working volume, hold time and production cadence, not the industry name alone.

Primary Objective

Determine whether the job is truly melting, or whether extended conditioning or rapid recovery is the more important requirement.

Batch Size

Size around the largest working batch plus practical headspace and growth.

Material Behavior

Account for melt point, viscosity, thermal sensitivity and allowable residence time.

Production Cadence

Use batch frequency and reload timing to decide whether Rapid-Cycle is warranted.

Which PRIMO System Fits This Process?

Recommended starting point: Standard PRIMO. For melting, liquefaction and general batch heating, Standard PRIMO is the default PRIMO family. Choose Thermal Conditioning instead when controlled heat input and extended heated holding are more important than melt speed. Choose Rapid-Cycle when repeated loading and short recovery between batches are the core production requirement.
RECOMMENDED STARTING POINT
Melting & Production Holding

Standard PRIMO

Primary choice for most compatible melting and batch-heating applications.

Controlled Heating & Extended Holding

PRIMO Thermal Conditioning

Choose when the process is really controlled conditioning or extended heated holding.

Recovery Speed & Production Throughput

PRIMO Rapid-Cycle

Choose when repeated batches and recovery time are limiting throughput.

Typical Thermal-Process Workflow

  1. 01

Define the material and largest batch.

  2. 02

Determine whether melt speed, hold stability or recovery is the priority.

  3. 03

Add transfer, mixing, filling or filtration based on the next process step.
