Integrated Processing Technology

WaxMelters designs integrated heated systems for melting, settling, separating, filtering and dispensing beeswax, honey, water and process debris.

One system replaces multiple processing steps.
1

Melt

Controlled heating
2

Separate

Natural settling
3

Filter

Remove debris
4

Dispense

Controlled draw-off
Selection Guide
Model 10 to 35: small-batch and entry production
Model 50 to 75: commercial processing and growing operations
Model 100 to 150: high-volume processing

Multi-Stage Processing in One Tank

  • Melt beeswax or heat honey to controlled temperatures
  • Allow wax, water and heavier material to separate into layers
  • Use multiple discharge levels for controlled draw-off
  • Filter material during discharge
  • Maintain processing or holding temperature
  • Transfer or dispense material downstream

Dual-Level Controlled Discharge

Upper and lower discharge points allow the operator to draw from different material layers during settling and separation.

  • Upper discharge for floating wax or upper material layers
  • Lower discharge for water and heavier settled phases
  • Improved process control during separation
  • Reduced handling between processing stages

Integrated Filtration

Filtration can be incorporated at discharge to capture suspended debris before material proceeds to storage, molding, transfer or filling.

The difference: a tank primarily heats material. These systems are configured around the entire processing sequence, heating, settling, separation, filtration and controlled discharge.

Rendering Beeswax Cappings

The Beeswax Liquefier is built for rendering wax cappings from honey extraction. Wax hands machines aren't built for it.

  • Melt the cappings at the lowest temperature that keeps the wax fully liquid. Raw beeswax can discolor if it's held at high heat too long.
  • Honey and settled material sink below the melted wax. Draw them off the lower outlet first.
  • Then draw the clean wax from the upper outlet into your mold pans.

Only rendering cappings now and then? A dipping tank with a 1" bottom valve works too.
