Dispensing Head Repair
WaxMelters dispensing heads are heated precision assemblies used as part of our filling and dispensing systems.
When a filling problem appears to involve the dispensing head, the first step is to identify the actual affected
component through the required troubleshooting process.
Required Before Warranty or Factory Repair
Before M&FE authorizes warranty service, replacement components or factory evaluation,
the customer must complete the applicable Guided Troubleshooting & Warranty Service Request
or other troubleshooting procedure specified by M&FE.
No completed process = no warranty authorization.
This process identifies the equipment, documents the reported condition and determines whether
the appropriate next step is adjustment, cleaning, replacement of an external component,
remote assistance or factory repair.
Do not open, alter, internally repair or disassemble the dispensing head unless specifically
instructed by M&FE in writing.
When Dispensing-Head Evaluation May Be Needed
Guided troubleshooting may identify the dispensing head as the likely source of an issue involving
flow, dripping, shutoff, heating, nozzle operation or another dispensing-related condition.
The troubleshooting process is intended to isolate the problem before anything is returned.
A filling-system symptom does not automatically mean that the dispensing head itself has failed.
Before Sending a Dispensing Head
- Complete the required troubleshooting process.
- Provide the equipment model, serial number or original order number.
- Provide photographs, video and requested troubleshooting results.
- Receive M&FE authorization to return the dispensing head.
- Remove all wax or other process material from the head.
- Allow the component to cool and package it carefully to prevent freight damage.
- Include the Evaluation Authorization or other return information provided by M&FE.
Do not ship components without authorization.
Equipment or components sent to M&FE without the required troubleshooting and Evaluation Authorization
may be refused or may be subject to evaluation, handling, cleaning and return-shipping charges.
Warranty Evaluation
Submission of a dispensing head for evaluation does not itself establish warranty coverage.
M&FE determines warranty eligibility after reviewing the applicable warranty, troubleshooting documentation
and condition of the returned component.
Damage caused by unauthorized disassembly, improper repair, failure to clean or maintain the filling system,
continued operation after a known malfunction, or failure to follow prescribed troubleshooting or safety
instructions is not covered.
If the condition is not covered by warranty, applicable evaluation, cleaning, parts, labor and transportation
charges are the customer's responsibility.
