PRIMO Waterless Thermal Conditioning Tanks
Industrial thermal conditioning tanks for processes where gentle,
controlled heat input, stable viscosity and extended heated holding
matter more than maximum melting or recovery speed.
When Thermal Behavior Matters
Choose Thermal Conditioning when the production goal is to keep a
temperature-sensitive liquid, semisolid or formulated material stable,
pumpable and production-ready over time.
1
Gentle Heat Input
Controlled warming for materials where excessive localized heat may
discolor, degrade, scorch, separate or otherwise affect the formulation.
2
Viscosity Stability
Maintain repeatable material condition for pumping, filling,
coating, dosing, recirculation or downstream transfer.
3
Extended Heated Holding
Designed for processes where material remains at operating
temperature for extended production or staging periods.
4
Production-Line Supply
Condition and hold material before supplying pumps, heated transfer
components, filling equipment or other downstream systems.

Waterless Thermal Architecture
Controlled Heated Holding Without Jacket Water—or Routine Replacement Immersion Heaters
PRIMO Thermal Conditioning uses the corresponding PRIMO X-Treme heating-power architecture,
configured for controlled thermal conditioning, extended heated holding and viscosity stability.
It does not require a separate
heated-water reservoir around the process vessel.
PRIMO Waterless Thermal Conditioning
Controlled Vessel Heating → Material
- No separate heated-water reservoir.
- No jacket-water level for the operator to monitor or replenish.
- Permanent heating system designed for long service life.
- No routine replacement immersion heater used as a normal consumable item.
- No jacket-water evaporation or mineral-scale environment.
- Fully insulated thermal-processing vessel with digital material-temperature control.
- Designed specifically for controlled conditioning, viscosity stability and extended heated holding.
Waterless PRIMO ownership.
PRIMO Thermal Conditioning has no jacket-water system. The operator follows the required process-material level,
temperature range and operating procedure, with no jacket-water reservoir to monitor and no
routine replacement immersion heater.
Permanent heating system means the PRIMO heating system is designed as a long-life part of
the equipment. It does not mean an electrical
component can never require service.
Gallon-Based Model Selection
Select a PRIMO Thermal Conditioning System by Gallon Class
PRIMO Thermal Conditioning models are named and selected by gallons.
Start with the gallon class that fits your required working volume,
then confirm headspace, hold time, material viscosity, mixing or
recirculation requirements and downstream production demand.
TC 3–35
Lab / R&D / Pilot
Ultra-compact thermal conditioning for testing,
specialty materials, formulation work, pilot production
and smaller heated-holding requirements.
TC 50–300
Small-to-Medium Production
Growing manufacturing operations requiring additional
heated reserve, repeated daily production, transfer or
filling-system supply.
TC 500–2000
Industrial Production
Higher-volume thermal conditioning, centralized heated
holding and process supply for sustained production demand.
TC 4000–8000
Plant Scale
Large-volume engineered thermal conditioning,
centralized material supply and plant-scale
heated-process applications.

Typical Process Fits
Applications That May Benefit From Thermal Conditioning
Final selection should be based on material behavior and the
required thermal process—not simply the industry name.
Food & Confectionery Formulations
Chocolate, cocoa-butter systems, fillings, glazes, fats and
compatible formulations requiring stable controlled warming.
Cosmetics & Personal Care
Creams, lotions, emulsions, balms and finished formulations
requiring stable temperature and viscosity before filling.
Adhesives, Coatings & Resins
Compatible formulations whose viscosity, flow behavior or
stability changes significantly with temperature.
Specialty Process Materials
Oils, fats and specialty compounds requiring controlled heated
holding or consistent condition before downstream processing.
Construction & Cleanability
Separate the Heating Configuration From the Sanitary Configuration
Standard TC Construction
304 stainless-steel product-contact vessel construction,

Thermal Conditioning heating configuration.
Enhanced Sanitary / Smooth-Weld Interior
Optional.
Smooth-ground interior welds, enhanced bottom transitions,
sanitary fittings and application-specific finish requirements
can be added where needed.

Common Questions
Thermal Conditioning FAQ
Is Thermal Conditioning the food-grade version of PRIMO?
No. Thermal Conditioning describes the heating configuration.
Standard PRIMO equipment is also used in compatible food-contact,
honey, beeswax and cosmetic applications.
Does Thermal Conditioning come standard with smooth-ground bottom welds?
No. Enhanced sanitary finishing and smooth-ground interior welds
are optional and should be selected when required by the application
or plant standard.
Why are Thermal Conditioning models sized in gallons?
Gallons provide a consistent vessel-volume basis across materials
with different densities and better support working-volume,
headspace, mixing and downstream-process calculations.
What heating wattage does Thermal Conditioning use?
Each Thermal Conditioning vessel size uses the same installed
heating wattage as the corresponding PRIMO X-Treme model.
Thermal Conditioning is differentiated by its process purpose
and thermal-conditioning configuration.
Can a Thermal Conditioning system melt material?
Depending on the material and process, yes. The defining priority
is controlled conditioning and heated holding.
Does PRIMO Thermal Conditioning use a consumable replacement heating element?
PRIMO uses a permanent waterless heating system designed for long
service life. Permanent does not
mean that an electrical component can never require service; it means
routine heater replacement is not part of the normal heating-system
design.
