Heated Hose Repair

WaxMelters heated hoses are designed to maintain process temperature between the pumping system and dispensing point. A reported hose problem may involve heating, electrical connection, material flow, physical damage or another component in the filling system.

Required Troubleshooting Before Service

Before M&FE authorizes warranty service, replacement components or factory evaluation, the customer must complete the applicable Guided Troubleshooting & Warranty Service Request or other troubleshooting procedure specified by M&FE.

No completed process = no warranty authorization.

Do not cut, open, alter, splice, internally repair or disassemble a heated hose unless specifically instructed by M&FE in writing.

What Troubleshooting Determines

The required troubleshooting process helps determine whether the condition is actually associated with the heated hose or with the controller, electrical connection, pump, dispensing head, temperature setting, material condition or another part of the system.

Before Returning a Heated Hose

  1. Complete the required troubleshooting process.
  2. Provide model, serial number or original order number.
  3. Provide requested photographs, measurements or video.
  4. Obtain authorization from M&FE before removal or shipment.
  5. Drain and remove process material from the hose as completely as practical.
  6. Allow the hose to cool before packaging.
  7. Do not sharply bend, crush or coil the hose tighter than its normal safe radius.
  8. Follow the Evaluation Authorization and shipping instructions provided by M&FE.
Unauthorized returns may not be accepted.
Equipment or components sent to M&FE without the required troubleshooting and Evaluation Authorization may be refused or subject to evaluation, handling, cleaning and return-shipping charges.

Warranty & Non-Warranty Repair

A returned heated hose is evaluated before warranty status is determined. Normal wear, physical damage, improper storage, excessive bending, incompatible operating conditions, unauthorized modification or damage caused by continued operation after a known problem is not a manufacturing defect.

If M&FE determines that the condition is covered, service will be provided in accordance with the warranty applicable to the equipment. Non-covered evaluation or repair may be subject to parts, labor, cleaning and transportation charges.
