Thermopump Repair
The WaxMelters Thermopump/control-pump assembly combines heated material handling with electrical
and control components. Internal repair of this assembly is normally performed by WaxMelters
after the required troubleshooting process identifies the Thermopump as the affected module.
Do Not Open the Thermopump Assembly
Before M&FE authorizes warranty service, replacement components or factory evaluation,
the customer must complete the applicable Guided Troubleshooting & Warranty Service Request.
No completed process = no warranty authorization.
Do not open the control enclosure, internally repair the pump assembly, alter wiring or disassemble
the Thermopump unless specifically instructed by M&FE in writing.
Why Troubleshooting Comes First
A pumping or filling symptom may originate in the Thermopump, dispensing head, heated hose,
temperature settings, product condition, blockage, power supply or another component.
The troubleshooting process is designed to isolate the affected module before components are removed.
Factory Evaluation Process
- Complete the required Guided Troubleshooting & Warranty Service process.
- Provide equipment identification and all requested diagnostic information.
- Wait for M&FE to identify the component or assembly requiring evaluation.
- Obtain Evaluation Authorization before shipment.
- Drain and clean the Thermopump as instructed.
- Package the assembly securely to prevent freight damage.
- Ship only after receiving return instructions.
Do not send the entire filling system unless specifically requested.
Where practical, M&FE will identify the smallest removable module requiring factory evaluation
to reduce transportation cost and equipment downtime.
Warranty Determination
Warranty status is determined after review of the troubleshooting documentation and factory evaluation.
Damage caused by contamination, product buildup, improper cleaning, unauthorized internal repair,
incorrect electrical service, continued operation after a known malfunction or failure to follow
M&FE instructions is not covered.
Equipment or components sent to M&FE without the required troubleshooting and Evaluation Authorization
may be refused or subject to evaluation, handling and return-shipping charges.
