PRIMO 1500 Industrial Wax Melter
Fast, Even, Digitally Controlled Waterless Melting
The PRIMO 1500 is a 304 stainless steel industrial wax melter engineered to combine fast melting, even heat distribution, digital temperature control and energy-efficient operation in an insulated production vessel without a conventional water jacket.

Why PRIMO
Speed, Even Heating and Efficiency—Without Excessive Heat Intensity
PRIMO is designed around the complete melting process rather than simply applying the highest possible wattage to the material. The objective is fast production melting while maintaining more controlled heat distribution, repeatable temperature control and substantially lower heating demand than conventional water-jacketed equipment.
2–3X Faster Than Traditional Water-Jacketed MeltersPRIMO waterless heating eliminates the need to first heat and maintain a separate water reservoir, allowing usable heat to reach the production vessel more efficiently.
Even, Controlled HeatingPRIMO is engineered to distribute heat around the vessel instead of relying on a high-wattage localized heat source. This helps reduce hot spots and provides more controlled melting and holding.
Lower Heating PowerSelect PRIMO systems use substantially less installed heating power than comparable conventional water-jacketed systems while delivering faster melting and production recovery.
Digital Material-Temperature ControlAdjustable digital control maintains repeatable material-temperature setpoints for melting and heated holding without relying on uncontrolled high-intensity heat input.
Why not simply use more direct heat? Higher-wattage direct-heated pots can transfer heat very quickly, but concentrated heat can also create localized hot surfaces and greater scorching or material-degradation risk. PRIMO is designed for a production balance of speed, even heating, digital control and energy efficiency.
Documented water-jacket comparison: a PRIMO 1000 configuration uses 1.8 kW of heating power versus 9 kW for a comparable conventional water-jacketed 1000-class system — an 80% reduction in installed heating power.
Melt times and energy use vary by material, starting temperature, batch load, ambient conditions, electrical configuration and operating procedure. The 2–3X comparison is against comparable traditional water-jacketed melting systems, not every high-wattage direct-heated vessel.
More Usable Capacity
PRIMO 1500 Is Intentionally Larger Than a Nominal 1,500 lb Tank
The PRIMO 1500 provides approximately 1,675 lb (760 kg) of wax capacity in a 216-gallon (818 L) vessel.
The vessel is sized around usable production volume and process requirements rather than simply making the vessel match the model number.
More usable capacity can mean fewer refills, more material available for filling or transfer and additional production flexibility before moving to the next PRIMO size.

Standard PRIMO, Rapid-Cycle or Thermal Conditioning?
Standard PRIMO is the starting point for most wax-melting applications. Thermal Conditioning is used where gentler long-duration thermal management is the priority. Rapid-Cycle is used when recovery time is restricting output.
