CHAPTER 7 • PRIMO WAX HANDS BUSINESS & OPERATOR GUIDE

Running a Wax Hands Event

Plan the booth, queue, checkout, cooling, dipping, finishing and breakdown as one commercial workflow instead of a collection of separate tasks.

Design the Event as a Flow, Not a Table Full of Equipment

A smooth wax-hands event has a clear sequence: attract attention, explain the offer, take payment, prepare the guest, cool/wet, dip, finish, package and exit. The physical layout should make that sequence obvious without guests crossing back through the line.

Recommended Work Zones

1. Attraction / Signage

Show the price, available colors and a finished sample before the customer reaches the operator.

2. Checkout

Take payment and resolve pricing questions before the guest enters the dipping workflow.

3. Preparation

Explain the process, confirm participation rules and choose the pose.

4. Cooling

Position the cooling station next to the wax-hand system, not across a traffic path.

5. Dipping

Keep the operator's primary attention on the guest and the wax process.

6. Finish / Package

Move completed hands away from the active dipping station so the next guest can begin.

Mobile Event Layout

At a mobile event, space and loading time matter. X-Press is designed for this model because the workstation collapses from approximately 30 inches operating height to approximately 17 inches for vehicle transport. The Professional Integrated Cooling Station can eliminate another separate cooler from the event loadout.

Use the smallest equipment footprint that supports the booked volume and color offering. A machine that takes less booth space leaves more room for the queue, operator, payment and finishing.

Permanent Attraction Layout

Permanent attractions can treat the wax-hand station as part of the retail/guest environment rather than temporary event gear. Large custom tabletop PRIMO systems can integrate into existing counters, kiosks and themed millwork. The 305 is appropriate when the operator wants a self-contained floor-standing workstation with enclosed storage.

Queue Management

Do not allow the line to obscure the experience. Display finished examples, pricing and approximate wait expectations where practical. If the operator is answering the same question repeatedly, put the answer on signage.

During peak periods, a second person may add more value at checkout/queue management than standing beside the dipping operator. Measure where the actual bottleneck occurs before adding labor.

30-Minute Setup Checklist

☐ Confirm assigned booth / counter / attraction space
☐ Confirm electrical service and safe cord routing
☐ Position machine and lock/stabilize as designed
☐ Set up integrated or separate cooling station
☐ Confirm chamber assignments / colors
☐ Install EZ-Clean Topper™
☐ Place pricing and finished samples
☐ Set up checkout / payment device
☐ Set up finishing and packaging area
☐ Perform operating and temperature checks
☐ Review participation / venue procedure with staff
☐ Open queue only when the complete station is ready

End-of-Event Shutdown

Plan breakdown before the event starts. Know when you stop taking new customers, how the equipment is shut down, when it can be moved, what happens to cooling water, how finished hands are protected and who is responsible for loading each piece of equipment.

For X-Press, the compacting feature should be part of the written loadout procedure—not an improvised attempt to make a hot or unprepared machine fit in the vehicle.
