Limited Warranty & Factory Protection
Effective for equipment orders accepted by Melting & Filling Equipment, Inc.
(“M&FE”) on or after August 1, 2026. These terms apply to new equipment manufactured
by M&FE and are subject to the procedures, conditions and exclusions below.
Standard Equipment Warranty — 1 Year
New M&FE melting, heating, mixing, dispensing, transfer and filling equipment
is warranted against covered defects in materials and workmanship for twelve (12)
months from delivery.
Fabricated Stainless-Steel Vessel Warranty — 3 Years
M&FE-fabricated stainless-steel tanks, vessels and their factory structural
welds are warranted against manufacturing and fabrication defects for three (3)
years from delivery.
Required Warranty Claim & Troubleshooting Procedure
Warranty evaluation and warranty service require completion of the applicable
M&FE Guided Troubleshooting & Warranty Service process, troubleshooting form,
JotForm process or other troubleshooting procedure specifically designated by M&FE
for the affected equipment, unless M&FE instructs otherwise in writing.
No completed process = no warranty authorization.
M&FE is not obligated to authorize replacement parts, factory repair, return
authorization or other warranty service until the purchaser has completed the required
troubleshooting procedure and provided the information reasonably requested by M&FE.
Failure to complete or reasonably cooperate with the required process may result in
denial of warranty service for the reported condition.
1-Year Limited Equipment Warranty
M&FE warrants to the ORIGINAL PURCHASER that new equipment manufactured by M&FE
will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for twelve (12) months from
the date of delivery.
This warranty applies to eligible factory-installed mechanical and electrical components
of M&FE melting, heating, mixing, dispensing, transfer and filling equipment except
as otherwise specifically stated in writing.
M&FE’s sole obligation under this warranty is, at M&FE’s option, to diagnose,
repair, correct or replace a component determined by M&FE to have failed as the
result of a covered defect in materials or workmanship.
3-Year Fabricated Stainless-Steel Vessel Warranty
Stainless-steel tanks and vessels fabricated by M&FE and their factory structural
welds are warranted against defects in material and fabrication for three (3) years
from delivery.
This additional warranty applies specifically to the structural integrity of the
M&FE-fabricated tank or vessel and its factory structural welds. It does not extend
the warranty period of another component merely because that component is constructed
from or enclosed in stainless steel.
Control boxes, filling heads, dispensing assemblies, pumps, motors, heaters, temperature
controllers, sensors, electrical components, agitators, hoses, valves, fittings, seals
and other components remain subject to the applicable one-year equipment warranty unless
otherwise expressly stated in writing.
The three-year vessel warranty does not cover corrosion, chemical attack, erosion,
contamination, physical damage, deformation, overheating, freezing, incompatible
materials, improper cleaning chemicals or procedures, unauthorized modification,
external loads, or pressure or vacuum conditions for which the vessel was not designed.
Proper Installation, Operation & Maintenance
Warranty coverage is conditioned upon equipment being properly installed, assembled,
operated, cleaned and maintained in accordance with M&FE instructions, specifications,
manuals and written recommendations. The purchaser is responsible for proper electrical
service, voltage, wiring, grounding, utilities, installation conditions and operating environment.
Safety Notice: If equipment exhibits an abnormal condition, electrical
problem, overheating, leakage, unexpected operation or another condition that could create
a safety hazard or additional equipment damage, discontinue use and begin the prescribed
troubleshooting process before continuing operation.
Reporting a Warranty Claim
Warranty concerns must be reported promptly after discovery. The purchaser may be required
to provide the model, serial number, order number, photographs, video, operating temperatures,
material information, electrical information, troubleshooting measurements or other information
reasonably required to evaluate the reported condition.
M&FE reserves the right to inspect, test and evaluate equipment or components before
determining whether a condition is covered.
Filling-System Warranty & Factory Repair
Filling-system troubleshooting is intended to identify the affected module and does not
authorize internal disassembly or repair. Dispensing heads, heated hoses,
Thermopump/control-pump assemblies and other designated filling-system components must
be serviced in accordance with M&FE instructions.
Do not open, alter, internally repair or disassemble a filling-system component unless
specifically instructed by M&FE in writing. Damage caused by improper or unauthorized
disassembly, repair, continued operation after a malfunction, or failure to follow prescribed
troubleshooting or safety instructions is not covered.

Process & Application Performance
Unless expressly agreed otherwise by M&FE in writing, the warranty covers the equipment
and does not guarantee a customer’s process, formula, material, production rate, cycle time,
finished product, yield or application result. The purchaser remains responsible for determining
suitability of the equipment for its materials, process and operating requirements unless a
specific performance obligation has been expressly accepted by M&FE in writing.
Replacement Parts, Shipping & Factory Repair
M&FE may provide a replacement component, request return of a component for inspection,
or require equipment or an assembly to be returned for factory evaluation.
Unless otherwise authorized in writing, the purchaser is responsible for safely removing,
cleaning, packaging and shipping equipment or components to M&FE.
If M&FE confirms that a returned component or assembly has a covered warranty failure,
M&FE will repair or replace the covered component and provide standard outbound return
transportation within the contiguous United States.
Removal, installation, rigging, crating and transportation of complete tanks, melters,
production systems or other large equipment are not included unless expressly authorized
by M&FE in writing. If evaluation determines that the condition is not covered, the
purchaser is responsible for applicable evaluation, cleaning, parts, labor, packaging and
transportation charges.

documents equipment identification, application, maintenance, operating conditions,
equipment condition, modifications and current photographs.
Failure to complete the required annual check may suspend Factory Protection coverage
until eligibility is reviewed and reinstated. Known or pre-existing conditions arising
while coverage is suspended are not eligible for retroactive coverage.

requirements or facility requirements. The purchaser is responsible for such compliance.
